Currently Tracking: Hurricane Helene is now being downgraded to a tropical storm and is moving north across Georgia, bringing strong winds and heavy rain in what the National Hurricane Center called “life-threatening” conditions. At 8 a.m. EST the storm was 35 miles south-south-west of Clemson, Georgia, with sustained winds of 60 mph.
